to organise a Surf & Beach Safety Information
presentation. Ten Surf Safety hints from Surf Life Saving NSW Inc. Always swim or surf at places patrolled by lifesavers or lifeguards Swim between the red and yellow flags. They mark the area for safer swimming Always swim under supervision Read and obey the signs on the beach, eg no diving, no fishing, no surf craft If you are unsure of surf conditions ask a lifeguard Dont swim directly after a meal Dont swim under the influence of alcohol or drugs Never run and dive into the water. Even if you have checked before. Water conditions can change If you get into trouble in the water, stay calm. Signal for help, float and wait for assistance Float with a current or undertow. Stay calm, dont try to swim against it. Signal for help and wait for assistance |
